Grand Prix is made exclusively for Silver Brush Limited by master brush-makers, using 100% naturally curved Chunking white bristle. This carefully chosen bristle has deeply flagged and interlocked tips for maximum color carrying capacity.

Pure seamless corrosion resistant copper ferrules are double crimped to long matte green lacquered handles. Bristles and handles are both sealed in the ferrule to protect these elegant brushes.

Grand Prix brushes are perfectly balanced and shaped to fit the hand using only the best quality materials, making painting and exciting and stimulating experience.
  • Brights: Length and width of brush is generally squared. Similar to flats, but shorter hairs make a stiffer brush.
  • Extra Long Filbert/Egberts: The Classic Egbert is a filbert with extra-long hair. This is a more traditional brush used by the Old Masters, typically for oil painting.
  • Filberts: Create a softer edge than a flat or bright.
  • Flats: Longer hairs than a bright, this brush has more flex and a large color carrying capability.
  • Rounds: Smaller sizes are typically used for detail work and larger sizes tend to be used for washes and filling in color.
